Program Information
The Multicultural Centre youth group supports newcomer youth ages 13-24 settling in Canada. The youth group consists of various programming every Monday and Wednesday from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm, with additional evening and weekend events.
Services We Offer
- Academic assistance: Tutoring help, homework assistance, post-secondary school guidance and OSAP assistance with forms, financial aid, scholarship opportunities
- Job preparation and professional development: Job connections, reference letters, training opportunities and volunteering
- Life Skills: Interactive sessions such as mental health and wellness, cooking sessions and much more
- Sports/Recreational activities: Building important leadership skills and teamwork abilities while making meaningful connections with other newcomer youth and outside community groups
- English language support: Conversation circles and tutor matches assist youth in a supportive, informal and welcoming environment
- Outings and cultural events: Fun recreational activities that assist youth in forming new friendships while staying connected to the larger community
- Mental Health Counseling: Our youth mental health worker provides confidential one-on-one counselling to our clients. Contact us to schedule an appointment
We provide a safe and welcoming environment for newcomer and refugee youth to grow and thrive as they settle in Canada.

- Intent to Land
- Live-in Caregiver
Any newcomer and refugee youth aged 13 to 24 who are interested are welcome to stop by the Centre or make an appointment to meet with the Program Coordinator to learn more about the program and how we can support them.
